The 6 Steps We're Taking to Keep You Safe From Covid-19

We here at Escape Room Arlington are as concerned about slowing the spread of Covid-19 as you are. We want you to have fun at the best escape room in Arlington, but we want to keep both you and our staff safe. If you’re concerned about Covid-19 safety, here’s how we’re planning to move forwards once we re-open.

1.      Private Rooms

For the time being, you will no longer be sharing your escape room experience with strangers. All bookings are made private by default - no extra fees, and you won’t even need to request it.

2.      Lowering Capacity

We will be lowering our number of open rooms from four to two, and we will wait to open a third room until we feel safe. Fewer rooms running at a time means that fewer customers will be in our lobby at the same time, which will limit person-to-person interactions.

3.      Washing Hands

Customers will be asked to wash their hands before entering the escape rooms. In addition, we will encourage customers to wash their hands after they’ve finished the escape room, just to be extra safe. Staff will be required to wash hands frequently throughout the work day.

4.      Face Masks

Be like Poe. Stay safe!

Be like Poe. Stay safe!

Face Masks will be mandatory for employees and customers. We ask that face masks stay on during the duration of the escape room. The masks will not only protect you and future customers, but also our staff as we reset the escape rooms after you’ve finished playing.

5.      Sterilizing Props

We here at Escape Room Arlington have always prided ourselves on having the cleanest escape rooms in the area. Our already high standard for cleanliness will only get higher. We’re increasing the reset time in between rooms in order to ensure the fullest attention given to sterilization and cleaning. This includes UV-C sterilization on all movable or handheld items, as well as disinfecting cleaner used on all surfaces and furniture. Backup props will be sterilized during play to expedite this process.

6.      Game Masters kept safe

The safety of our own staff is our biggest priority, and this unfortunately means limiting contact. We’re switching over to using video to give the rules to players, and only one host will be taking care of customers at the front desk. Our staff will wash hands frequently, use gloves, and wear masks. We’re dedicated to helping you have fun and excitement at the best escape room in Arlington, so please be courteous in helping our staff stay safe by keeping your masks on and washing your hands.

And there you have it! In addition to what we’ve laid out above, we will also be following all of Virginia’s guidelines on re-opening, and any Arlington County guidelines should they arise. We hope these steps help you feel more safe and secure as you take a break from quarantine to visit us. If you’re looking for a fun birthday party idea or a team-building exercise for your next corporate event, we’re still dedicated to being the best escape room in Arlington!
