Are you looking for a fun date night out? Perhaps a family outing or a birthday party idea? You’ve decided to come to the best escape room in Arlington, but what are you going to do for food while you’re in the area? Our staff is well versed in the great dining options available nearby. Here’s what our staff all love and recommend!
William Jeffrey’s Tavern
If you’re going for brunch on Saturday or Sunday, the chicken and waffles are amazing (your choice of honey butter, syrup, and/or a sweet and spicy buffalo sauce,) and they’ve got a $1 mimosa refills deal that is very much worth looking at. This is extremely hard to beat, and the perfect pregame to the number one escape room in Arlington! If you’re coming later in the evening, I recommend the pulled pork sandwich. I get it two or three times per month and it’s very tasty.

The buttermilk ranch chicken sandwich is amazing. The chicken is almost double the size of the bun, and the fries are cooked to perfection. If you're looking for something to share, the nachos are perfect, and can easily serve two people with just the one order.

Bob & Edith’s Diner
You cannot get a diner experience until you visit this place. When I come here, I get the steak omelette that is packed with steak, onion, tomatoes, green pepper and mushrooms. If it’s night time, I change it up by ordering a steak omelette.

Bob and Edith’s Diner is a venerated cultural touchstone of Arlington for good reason. Everything about this place breathes Americana - the booth-style seats, the diner coffee, milkshakes, burgers, pies, and classic breakfast options. I have enjoyed my fair share of coffee from Bob and Edith’s over hash browns, eggs, and oversized pancakes, which I do recommend.

Taqueria El Poblano
Get the L.A. Style Crispy Tacos with Shredded beef. It’s the best!

It’s hard to find Mexican-style tamales in this area. Taqueria El Poblano has them, and they’re very good. I come here solely for these tamales and it’s worth it every time. I hear from customers that their margaritas are amazing, but I don’t drink so I haven’t personally tried them.

Tortas y Tacos
For a Texan living on the east coast, Tortas y Tacos delivers a taste reminiscent of grilling milanesa and fajitas in the backyard at weekend family parties in Houston. The tortas are massive and delicious, the sopes are both great and hard to find in this area, the quesadillas are the perfect filling comfort food, and the tacos are poignantly excellent. I love this place.

Cava Mezze
This is a local chain restaurant that originated in Rockville MD but has expanded to 3 other locations including one in Clarendon, VA just 9 minutes from Escape Room Arlington. They serve tapas-style dishes to share but the best is their Saganaki which is a cheese dish that is set on fire tableside.

Boru Ramen
This restaurant is among the best ramen in the DC area, and I've eaten a lot of ramen in the DC area. The pork belly and pork chashu are both definitely the best pork I've had at ramen places in this area. I'm also a huge fan of their tempura shrimp and tempura veggies.
