The Supervillains Bullseye Award

With National Comic Book Day approaching on September 25th, we decided to talk about our Supervillains room! We’ll be running a promotion on the room – more on that later – but for now, did you know that it won a Bullseye Award from ESCAPETHEROOMers?

ESCAPETHEROOMers are a team of Escape Room enthusiasts who have played over 550 escape rooms in over 30 countries, all over the world. In addition to writing about, reviewing, and making vlogs about escape rooms, they also host annual awards! These are hard to come by; of the 350 or so rooms considered in their 2019 awards, only 64 rooms were recognized, and only 14 won a “best overall” award! Aside from us (and our Herndon location!), only one other escape room in MD, one in DC, and one in VA were recognized. And, of course, we’re the only escape room in the Arlington area to have this accolade. I believe this solidifies our status as the best escape room in Arlington, if not the best escape room in the DC area.

Our Supervillains room was recognized for a Storyline award, along with only four other rooms across the globe. We’re proud of the room’s story – we wanted something high energy that appeals to adults and kids alike, remaining challenging to all age ranges. The Supervillains room really does bring something unique to the Escape Room world: when designing and building Supervillains, we aimed for a bigger space that would be ideal for large team building activities or birthday parties. What we settled on was a massive space in which each of the supervillains has their own escape room, if you will. Players have access to all of the Supervillains’ rooms at the start, so larger groups can split up to divide and conquer with ease. Of course, as the puzzles unfold, there are still secrets to be found and the rooms all interact beautifully. You’re left with a non-linear web of puzzles to untangle and you can tackle them in any order, a truly unique experience.

Our Supervillains room has been extremely successful for the listed reasons. If you have a large group for a birthday party idea or a company outing, look no further; this is the room I always recommend. With plenty of opportunity to split up and high energy levels all the way through, this room is perfect for your next event.
