Are you looking for a fun team building activity or a birthday party idea? You’ve found our escape room, but how do you really know whether we’re some run-of-the-mill company or we’re actually the best escape room in Arlington? Word of mouth from our dedicated fans is valuable, but awards help, too. We’re lucky to have received another Bullseye award from ESCAPETHEROOMers this year, furthering our lead as one of the best escape rooms in the DC area.

Every year, our friends and reviewers at ESCAPETHEROOMers give out awards for their top rooms of the year. These “Bullseye Awards” are hard to come by, and we’ve been lucky enough to nab one in the past for our Supervillains room in 2019. The awards ceremony was just held, and we’re honored to have received another award! Our Mind Trap room was awarded a “Best Horror Theme” award!

You might be asking, who are these awards from? Well, ESCAPETHEROOMers are a team of Escape Room enthusiasts who have played over 550 escape rooms in over 30 countries, all over the world. In addition to writing about, reviewing, and making vlogs about escape rooms, they also host these annual awards! These are hard to come by; of the 350 or so rooms considered in their 2019 awards, only 64 rooms were recognized, and only 14 won a “best overall” award!

The awards this year were as hard to come by as in years past - We’re still the only escape room in the Arlington area to have won a bullseye award. I believe this solidifies our status as the best escape room in Arlington, if not the best escape room in the DC area. Our only local friends to get recognition were Escape Quest in Alexandria, CyberRaccoon in Falls Church, and of course our sister location Escape Room Herndon won multiple awards! If you drive a little farther, our friends at ClueIQ in Frederick were recognized, as were River City Escape in Richmond, and our sister-project Gnome & Raven in Richmond. These experiences represent the upper echelon of quality escape rooms in the mid-Atlantic area, and we’re honored that we can be a part of this very short list.

Mind Trap winning an award was inevitable, and we’re thrilled it’s finally happened. This experience has consistently been our first or second most popular room this past year and a half, and was going strong even before that. Mind Trap is popular because it’s good - We’ve written extensively about the history of this room, but it’s been through many iterations over the past seven (seven?!?) years. The tech is solid, the props are well-maintained, and the puzzles have been refined to produce a quality escape room with a lot to offer. If you’re new to escape rooms or want a good, scary escape room, Mind Trap is the room for you.
